Spoiler alert The Thin Man was just trying to stop the process that's why he caught Six into the television, he tried to protect Mono (himself) from loneliness...

People are right, this isn't a horror game. A guy with a shotgun that performs taxidermy on people who is also trying to kill two children is normal. So is a doctor who puts peoples souls in manakins and brings them back to life. Totally not horror.

*SPOILERS and THEORIES* Six didn't save Mono from her hunger cause she didn't get it until after she escaped the tower, hence, not knowing about it before the betrayal. This video theorizes that Six absorbed Mono's powers and because her body couldn't handle the newly acquired ability, she developed the hunger condition: althe.info/number/3GrMmXyFiGKCntw/video. Although personally, I think the transmission ability and hunger don't really mix well together and no connection can be made. This ability also wasn't present in LN1. We also can't say for sure that Six decided to let go of Mono because she saw Thin Man and knew that they were the same person. There's a huge age gap between the two, and people's faces tend to look different with age and most aren't consistent with their younger self. I'm pointing this out because throughout the game, basic science is present, so this theory wouldn't make sense in my opinion. Lastly, it's evident that Six just followed Mono because she just wants to save herself from the beginning. In their first meeting, she ditched Mono after he saved her from being imprisoned. But when she realized she can't escape alive without Mono's help, she just went with the flow. But whenever their lives are threatened, she always makes sure to run first and aid Mono after. For me, the bitchiest thing she did was when they first encountered Thin Man. She ran away and hid in a place where only one person can fit and left Mono to fend for himself, but when he found a better hiding spot and Thin Man was close, she asked for Mono's help (again) by reaching out her hand, but it's too late. I actually think the reason for Six betraying Mono was because of what happened in this scene and later on, there was a second attempt of saving Six by trying to pull her out of the TV but it didn't really work. This could've caused the stress piling up on Six, thus making her a monster, and used her music box as a way to cope with it. Mono destroying her precious item was the last straw and it's what made her betray him. TL;DR, Six was too used to being alone that she doesn't think of anything other than survival. Mono was afraid of being alone that he tried his best to save Six but didn't get anything in return other than betrayal. In hindsight, the game greatly portrays the nightmares in real life, where everything starts with how we were brought up as children and how trauma and depression can ruin a person.

I hope Little Nightmares 3 is all about The Lady Six and The Thin Mono in a final battle. Even if that's the background story as you play through the sages as the ghost kid, while the story plays out.

The original game didn't really disturb or frighten me, I felt it was more magical realism than horror. I thought this game was the same... Then the teacher.... Then the mannequin's... Nightmare fuel.
