You based your opinion on the Bonita report, like I said how did they come up with that conclusion "Hyliion hybrid system doesn't save 10%-30% fuel cost like what they claimed". Just common sense Kevin unless they purchased a Hyliion hybrid system themselves and test it themselves. I told you the credible analysis are from truck drivers C.A.T and Wegmans who are testing the system as of this stage and opinion from current and former truck drivers. My man doesn't know what reinsurance is really it seems like. Absolutely cannot just pick and choose what you want to have "reinsured". Think of it more like stacks of insurance that pay out at certain layers or percentages. A proper reinsurance program is not easy to put together nor is it readily available. Bit odd to say that the reinsurance space is great and abundant right now when just a few minutes earlier you admitted you don't know how the inner workings of reinsurance even operates. Insure tech is something I'm staying away from even though I'm a part of that industry. It really is a lot more complex than people think. Every carrier utilizes reinsurance. absolutely nothing new so the fact that lemonade is touting that as a huge marketing gimmick makes me very concerned.

Just got lemonade insurance, it was really easy took less than 3 mins and it’s pretty cheap

I priced out a number of policies on Lemonade and compared them with other companies - Lemonade was MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. Now that we are all spending more time in front of computers, there's no excuse not to comparison shop. Their primary advantage is automation and taking humans out of the underwriting and claims process, but do some back of the envelope calculations to break down a typical renter's insurance policy, say $800/year, and follow the money. The money they keep is 25% or $200, plus there is a "ceding commission" for giving the 75% or $600 to the reinsurance company, say that's 20% of the $600 or $120, so the net they keep on a $800 policy is $320, which needs to cover their operating expenses and pay 25% of losses. Say I go on a trip and lose a $2000 MacBook and file a claim. Lemonade would pay out $500 and the reinsurer would pay out $1500, but this is transparent to the policy holder. In this case, they would be in the hole at -$180. Insurance is like the House at a casino and relies on the law of large numbers, no amount of AI will change Insurance Math. If I find the same coverage with other companies for $500, I will gladly take the $300 savings and buy a fractional share in TSLA instead. Lemonade may attract first time / naïve insurance buyers with a streamlined process, but insurance buyers are price sensitive. Getting a quote easily is not the same as acquiring a customer, so I'm curious what their actual conversion rate is.
