Love Dave but really really miss David Letterman's Late Show. Everything about it, especially the band and David's presence made me feel warm.

As a 10-year-old, I thought this guy was just another struggling low-time actor because I'd seen him in some terrible movie I don't recall. Little did I know that 20 years later I would consider this struggling low-time actor as one of the greatest comedians I've ever had the fortune to listen to. Is he even a stand-up comedian really? Half the times he talks like a god damn philosopher.

As a decades-long fan of Letterman's this clip perfectly encapsulates his CBS arc from still-funny and engaged to bored, tuned out and cynical. Seriously, who gives a shyyttt about why Chappelle quit his cable show.

I LOVE how he waited for Letterman to invite him to take a seat, even after he walked up and shook his hand. That first time is always a gut check for these guys. Will he invite me to sit down or not??? Glad Letterman did that! :)
