I find Fisher's opening set up is better on real life players than against computer.... the computer will get to the a point where it just go back and forward with 1 pieces refusing to more until you break your set up.

why do you write on the monitor and cover the chessboard? it's very annoying and very idiotic, why don't you just put the writing in front of your face, because your face doesn't matter, I want to see chess not your face

I think Morphy and Fischer are the best two chess minds in history. They were this good with no engines or anything to help for preparation. They just had the brains for it. Fischer was right, engines did somehow ruin the game because people rely on them too much today. We will never experience the beauty of chess that was experienced in those days.

Bobby Fischer's rise to the top is unmatched. 11-0 in the US championship. 20 game streak include to separate 6-0 sweeps against elite players no less. And I think the highest FIDE rating gap between #1 and #2. Fischer at his peak was simply in a class of his own. The way he abruptly ended his chess career is a real tragedy - personal issues aside.

Modern GM's resign TOO EARLY for my taste. Sadly, I think it's an EGO thing. ("Ego, so often the most poisonous thing for anything we do." Michael Chin.) What? Is your opponent INCAPABLE of making a mistake? What if his hand slips off his piece or his mouse? What if he loses power? What if he is about to shit his pants and is 1 minute away from resigning himself, as he is wearing his favorite silk underwear? (Bad joke.) I played online poker, "professionally" for many years. And, I'd estimate that 1-5 times a year I'd lose internet, or power, during a BIG MOMENT and I'd lose money.

Levy I thoroughly enjoy the insight and the enthusiasm you bring to your analysis. Thank you for your contributions to chess. I couldn't resist adding a side note to this video. A very little known fact: I once had the honor of playing Hikaru when he was 6 or 7 years old and defeating him! It was a very small tournament at an American Legion Hall in the Bronx, NY in 1994. He was there with his step father Sunil Weeramantry. Hikaru's step father is a friend of the tournament organizer, and my friend Alan Abrams. He was obviously not yet the chess phenom he has become though he was very talented even then. He bravely shook my hand at the end of the game with a tear in his eye and ran to his father to be consoled. I had no idea who he would become. Next time you see him ask him if he recalls that game. My name is Robert Leung. I bet he will remember.
