Hahaha that´s not the way you pick an avocado, you just check the little spot the branch used to be and see the color. If it´s green is not ripe yet, too dark and is spoiled.

One of the challenges of finding a ripe avocado is seeing if it's soft and finding bruises without causing more bruises. The first thing to look at when picking up an avocado and not pressing hard and causing bruises is looking where it was attached to the tree. If there's a nub that's not part of the skin it's a better avocado to buy firm, but if the nub is gone you're more likely to get an avocado that's black or brown on the inside.

@Jacob Bosley here in Mexico we eat them almost daily, as long as one is firm it will be good, and is really hard to find them with the branch attached. Still, if it's too hard just wrap it with a newspaper and in a couple of days it will be ripe

@Ricardo Moran not necessarily true. It's better if you can't see the spot and part of the branch is still there. It's like a lid and once removed the fruit begins to spoil. The avocado is a stone fruit that has characteristics like the banana. They're a group of fruits that are picked after development and begin to ripen once separated from the tree.

I thought it was intended to be a reverse of the old Sitcom troupe of the token black family moves in next door. What if instead the sitcom was based around the black family rather than the white one. But if the writing isn't clever and relevant, it could read as a low quality version of Black-ish. That clip didn't fill me with much enthusiasm though...felt like something recycled from UPN in 1999.

Yeah, I winced a little bit. Ced is an animated guy and his humor is generally dripping with sarcasm. He delivered that line super flat. So, if it was an attempt at a joke, he didn't laugh, neither did Colbert, and I died a little inside

As a Muslim woman, I can attest that any form of modesty is encouraged and rewarded by god/Islam, whether it is the burqa, hijab, or even niqab-IF IT IS DONE VOLUNTARILY BY THE WOMAN. Also, as I Muslim woman, *I* don’t equate someone’s humaneness or religiosity based on their garb. if it’s not my immediate family, it’s not my concern how they dress (Hijab, burqa, etc.). I believe Only god knows and can judge their religiosity, not me. Seen many woman who choose not to cover modest in their personality and seen many woman choose to cover not be modest. And vice versa. Please don’t speak for us in an attempt to do us a favor. We are more than capable in representing ourselves. I don’t pretend to know the struggles of a Jewish woman, so please don’t pretend to know the struggles of a Muslim one. Salam

There's a very different flow to the dialogue and interaction on a comedy show designed for a live audience vs one without. Tonally and behaviorally they're different beasts and you can't just swap between the two.
