The first one may have been (in my eyes) half meme-half book - it was written in more simple language, less academic and more casual (still a good read though). But if that one was his "Man and his symbols"(Jung), this one i feel will be his "Beyond Good And Evil"(Nietzsche) or dare i say even "Aion"(Jung). I get that impression from what i can hear in these 10 minutes. Go Dad

Familiar with rejection and continuous chaos order seemed an enemy and a savior at once. The war between the two had me constantly struggling to find a place to stand. I saw only failure and rejection. It was hard to share and explain to others but it eventually became possible through Nfs music it was then that the unspoken became spoken and order was brought forth if not but a spark. However, though it was perceivable it was not in existence. Through trying to understand my actions and the actions of others I was still confused. Then I had an epiphany. You have control over nothing, just yourself. When you have control of yourself you have control over everything. I realized I had handled myself poorly and without care. Dr. Peterson much like NF has put into words vague and formless ideas. Now armed with not only the scriptures of which I have clung but a guideline I can move forward and beyond the chaos that I often spawn.

I am a 22 years old woman from indonesia, def not the target demographic of this book but after reading 12 rules for life obviously this new book is a must

In the 5 years I’ve been following JBP’s work and watching his lectures, my life has improved beyond belief. I finally finished school, took the Big 5 personality test + worked on increasing my assertiveness + conscientiousness, doubled my salary, I’ve come closer to knowing my political beliefs + general values, + I’ve come back to God. I thank God for bringing JBP to my awareness. His lectures, CBT, psychotherapy, developing discipline + habits, reading important and difficult literature, exercise, keeping my room clean, + telling the truth (esp to myself) have transformed and helped orient my life towards something better.

Very excited to listen to your new work. I very much enjoyed the last book, due to the timing. It was paired with David Wilcock's book, Synchronicity key, which both books enlightened and behaved as a lighthouse for me. Thank you!

Jordan Peterson, you should have instead written a book on the Alien power structure you work for and which promotes you. Instead they published more propaganda to pacify the deracinated millennial even further in this time of brutally imposed Totalitarianism we find ourselves in. Try telling us instead what barbaric plan is in store for us all. But how could you and why would you?

I seriously don't understand why anyone would have a problem with Dr. Peterson or the things he has to say. He gives advice that he thinks will help people, and a lot of people say it's worked for them. He tries to help people find meaning in their life, and I can't think of my goals that are better than that, but some people feel the need to be vitriolic when it comes to him, as if he's murdered their dog or something. He occasionally passionately disagrees with people in the far left; is that such a sin? Does that hurt anyone? Let him have his political disagreements with people if he thinks that their worldview is not a helpful, functional one. From my point of view, nothing he's said is worthy of controversy, but people just like to bash him because they're tribalistic jerks who think they're more intellectual than everyone who disagrees with them because of a false notion that having books with more complicated language that support their ideology makes it more correct. And for those that say that he's somehow a hypocrite because of the situation he was in for the past few months, how? In every single lecture of his that I've seen, he's never denied that some of the bad things that happen are due to random chance, and sometimes people need professional and medical help with their problems. He's never said that pulling yourself up by your bootstraps will instantly solve all of your problems, he's just said that taking some responsibility in your life will probably make your situation a little better, and I cannot see how that is in any way controversial or bad to say. So anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk and reading my essay to nobody that means nothing because the people who agree already know it and those who disagree won't change their stubborn, tribalistic, arrogant, vitriolic minds.

Compare yourself to who you were yesterday , not to who someone else it today

He is back! Being in a serious dire situation, despite the despair, with help and support from his family, friends and cheering from his fans, he emerged. Stronger, wiser, and with new insight that can help others change their lives and become stronger. 12 rules for life has definitely changed my life. I suffered mild depression and the feeling of worthlessness. His book managed to open my eyes, and see the world in a different perspective, allowing me to emerge wiser and happier. Ofc I feel sadness, I have ups and downs like always, but instead of it having a big negative effect on me, I’ve come to accept and expect it. Which has allowed me to thrive. Whenever I feel down, I remember one of his rules, which allows me identify why I feel this way, and direct my effort to fix it. I will definitely buy Peterson’s book, Beyond Order. Thank you for helping me. Good to see you back.
