While I have a lot of respect for the guy, I actually stopped listening to millionaires financial advice. An example: when you have a 100 people that quit their job to do their passion, maybe 3-4 people will succeed. These people will feel like they have it all figured out and can go ahead to give everyone wise lessons,... while a large part of it may be luck. People like to believe that the results of their success were entirely dependent on their personal skills and decisions, but I don't believe that to be true. Their are many people who quit well paying jobs and risked it all to do their passion, just to lose it all, but these stories are not as entertaining and motivating. It feels like everyone automatically assumes successful people have got everything figured out and will take their advice no matter what. lies..dude backed out of a contract because he thought he was worth more after he signed something..then he got buff..i used to follow this man and know every word to his sketches because his shit was funny and it was funny to reference his shit back then..but it took some time to be noticed because the only movies i remember him were screwed and half baked..half baked didnt really hit big until people actually seen it..comedy central gave him his own show..but because he thought he was worth more, HE backed out of a contract..imagine a studio hiring a bunch of people and getting everybody ready to do something and spending money on props, meals, set, etc...so you have to take a hit and a chance that this dude is gonna deliver a 3rd season..not only did you just waste everybody's time..you also managed to blast the very people who gave you a chance with such a small reputation..im not surprised he hasnt really gotten any big gigs in movies or had his own show again.. because who the hell would want to sign a contract with someone who doesnt follow through in the contract..it's like ordering a bunch of kegs from a local place for a 4th july weekend and the kegs dont show up on 4th july..the opportunity and trust is hurt.."derrrrr netflix gave him a show.."....yah yah they also let "cuties" happen

I also walked away from an opportunity for money. It wasn't anywhere even remotely near Dave's level, and it wasn't even certain to happen, but there was potential. I realized that if I had pursued money, I would have allowed my work to become corrupted. I can stand to do more good, and maybe even make more money in the long run, if my art remains pure.
