I missed the bit in the video where you explain _why_ you’re traveling? I truly hope there was a good reason which made it a necessity, that you aren’t able to share with us. But I’m worried that you are just trying to continue with your pre pandemic life as best you can without stepping back and evaluating if that’s appropriate or morally correct, especially in a country as hard hit as the US. I get the impression you do what you want as long as its “allowed”. But in times like this we are all sharing responsibility and needing to count on each other, considering what is right as well as what is possible. Maybe you need to adapt, just like everyone else. Come up with projects that keep you in one place for an extended period of time. Food for thought?

I agree i wouldn't got to vegas now myself but i wont judge them negatively, I highly doubt most of the people complaining have lived a life of total isolation for the past 8 mths and have not seen anyone outside their household. Everyone has taken some risks

A lot of people are continuing with their daily lives despite the pandemic. I work in food manufacturing so I've had no choice but to continue working and even working overtime. If you can abide by the travel and quarantine guidelines then be all means please do. But some things like vacations aren't necessary right now. I understand Kara and Nate's whole income is to travel but they could have easily fixed the van. Stop going to backyard shops and doing diys then maybe things could last longer.

They have travelled and experienced so much you would think they would at least have some sense of all the terrible things going on in the world, yet seem completely tone deaf to it all. (Although from all the excuses they make, they probably know exactly what's happening, but don't care) While essential workers, doctors, and nurses make sacrifices for people who just don't give a damn and people lose loved ones, stay home and haven't seen family for months, close their businesses because they can't operate now, miss out on loved ones funerals , can't fly home because of borders being shut, lose their jobs and can't get surgeries they desperately need, lie in hospital dying alone with no visitors allowed. Yea sure enjoy your trip Kara and Nate you guys are specially and so above it all. I would just add super insensitive to my definition of them.

I normally wouldn't comment on a video like this, but I really can't stress enough how ill judged this video was. I haven't hugged my Mum in over 6 months and my husband hasn't even seen his Mum & Dad for over 12 months. We have followed guidelines here in the UK and done our bit to help with tackling this virus and to see you (and other influencers) blatantly disregarding advice for your own monetary and personal gains is so disappointing and upsetting.

Where I live in Kanata Ontario Canada, we are on stay at home orders during this pandemic for the next month in hopes to keep our numbers from getting too high because the amount of people in the hospital is more than we have beds in this includes the people that have heart attacks or going through cancer or surgery recovery etc we do not need to spread the virus more we've been told to not travel only for essentials and only for essential travel for example work and even then is recommended to quarantine for two weeks when you land somewhere in 2 weeks when you come back depending on where you're going. What are you traveling to LA for is it for work purposes and your just documenting this?

I work in Healthcare and I've seen so much shady and twisted things you wouldn't believe. To my doctors admitting the hospitals were purposely killing people. Yes that is true! I know people don't want to understandit but in SOME hospitals this is the case. I will give you one example of 100s I have. I work in pediatrics, a nurse tested positive for covid. The management was notified, she still continued to room patients give vaccines etc.. she wrote a list of all the children she had directed contact with so we could notify the parents. The higher ups said NO! We never notified anyone about this. It was all swept under the rug. And that's nothing compaired to other stories I have. Its heartbreaking what they are doing to us!!!! BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE! Do not always trust your doctors!!! They are told by the higher ups what to do or they will be fired. I'm being honest here. Please watch your backs and your families, especially when they are sick and in the hospital!

These comments are interesting. I cannot imagine a circumstance when people of the world WILL feel okay getting back to living their lives. So because these two felt ready to get back to living, everyone else rages on them for their choice. Everyone is weird.

I don’t understand why everyone is upset. They aren’t breaking the rules they can travel. They want to travel and do entertaining videos. there’s no harm into this!

I am a doctor and strictly against travelling during these tough times,be it lost leblanc or karaandnate,i just don't understand why people don't tell the same to other travel channels like lost leblanc.I just follow these 2,don't know any other travel youtubers who are unnecessarily travelling during these times.And it's not like they can't sustain their livelihood on their net worth alone.They can choose to do home vlogs or create some other content according to these times.

Love you guys!! So excited to see you flying again . As a flight attendant I’m loving that your showing everyone that it’s ok to start flying again with the right precautions. I know many of us are ready to get back to the skies for work and travel and can’t do it without gaining the trust of others . The planes are designed in such a way to circulate air every 3 minutes with hospital grade filters and with many test they proved that with mask the aircrafts are totally safe during these uncertain times and I’m so happy you put your faith in the process are are going again! Let’s hope this is the light at the end of the tunnel and slowly this next year just starts to get better :) enjoy your travels

I understand we're in the middle of a pandemic but they seemed to have followed all the precautions given they were in an almost empty airport. people still have to go to work & school everyday.. just cuz they have it documented doesn't give us a right to judge them. there's a difference with constructive criticism and being blatantly rude!

Look I love you guys but this is not it. I'm disappointed. You speak of your struggles like most of the country hasn't been stuck in one place for 10 months, you guys were going places and seeing things while other people were losing jobs, missing school, losing FAMILY, and getting sick. You two are like the perfect people to show what it's like right now to travel. I want to go see my dad in California (I'm in Washington State) but am terrified of going out in this mess. I'd consider driving there but I start falling asleep after 2.5hrs and it's about a 20hr trip not including rest breaks, sleeping, and food. Guess I'll need to get over it and fly anyway. Maybe. We'll see

Really disappointed to see this video. Love you guys so much but have really lost respect that you have chosen to do non-essential travel during this horrid pandemic. You guys are role models and should be setting an example. The phrase is simple “Stay Home”. This will not be forever. Would happily watch you potter around in your house as people have said we enjoy watching Kara and Nate not only the places you travel to. Let’s see if all these comments people have been leaving sink in and make you guys re-evaluate what a bad decision you made travelling to Vegas.

Why so much unnecessary hate in the comments? Why do you think ppl watch this channel? It's escapism and vicarious pleasure. I watch them fly - because I can't. I watch them do van life - because I can't. And they have taken safe steps, wore masks, use hand sanitiser, and overall being honest about their experience. It may not have been the best decision, but it was their decision. Let's just hope the next video is not them testing positive though - that airport crowd was kinda scary.

The point is not why the hate. The point is that they know better and you can tell because Nate literally spent the whole video trying to justify their unnecessary travel. No one was blaming them when they had to fly from Singapore back to U.S for example as it was absolutely necessary for them to get home. But this? Escapism can happen in various ways. The bottom line is you could endanger other people not just yourself by travelling in this time. If you do not get why people are angry, I would say you do not know anyone that is positive of COVID or that died of the disease.

I’m a registered nurse. 😂 Y’all people are seriously trippin. Leave these people alone too live their lives. Covid is the new flew. It’s not going away. Get used too it! Take precautions. 🙃 Stay safe!

If you're a nurse and it's not that big of a deal to you. Then you should be going to work without any PPE or any sort of protection and then come back and tell us it's okay to travel

It was so fun to see you document your first flight since March. I missed all the sights and sounds of opening car door, pulling out luggage,hearing handle come up on luggage, kara walking onto the plane, seeing the cities below....ahhh a comfortable/normalcy. Thank you! I have flown united 3 times and planes have been packed 😳

So many people are so heated about what others do, its crazy! If you've not seen your loved ones in a year, doesn't mean Kara and Nate can't.. get tested before your travels, wear your protective gear and your masks and you will be fine. Just because you're sitting at home scared of the virus, does not mean others have to be that scared and only sit home and be depressed about it. Get on with life.

As influencers I know you both understand the impact you have on your audience. I understand this is how you make income, I understand it is hard to not travel, I understand it’s been an adjustment. I am sure you both quarantined as required and tested as required, I have complete confidence in you. However posting this video about traveling during this time is irresponsible as an influencer you literally influence people, and while you may have the opportunity to quarantine prior to travel many do not, and you are tempting others to travel. I am a nurse. I am so sick of people not taking this seriously. I am disappointed in this video. I am so sad. I really loved your videos and how much you have grown during 2020, but this is disheartening. How lucky you are to forget about this pandemic for a short time. Many of us are not so lucky. I urge you to reconsider your future travel plans. There is so much content to be made without risking lives.

I honestly love you guys but this I have to bite my tongue. This is selfish and honestly disrespectful. Unnecessary traveling is a big no no especially right now. Some people can’t even see loved ones and you guys car flying to Las Vegas just because. Lowkey disappointed in you guys.

I am so happy to see you in an airport and on a plane again! To those shaming you for doing so, SHAME ON THEM! The airlines are proven to be safer than most grocery stores! If you're wearing a mask, keeping your distance, and taking every precaution, then you will be fine! Keep living your life and doing your best to stay healthy and safe, but keep living!

Have been subscribed for a while, but I don't usually comment but today I felt compelled to. When this video came up I was so surprised to see the title, it instantly irritated me given what is going on in the world right now. The only reason I clicked to watch the video was to see a good reason as to why you were flying... I didn't see any other than lots of statements encouraging us to feel sorry for you. I get its hard as it's your career but as other commenters have said we are here for your personality and not just the travel. Plus you have plenty of other travel videos we can watch if we want to dream about travelling again. Not sure what it's like workwise in the US, but in UK there as so many self-employed people here that are having to close, put things on hold with no guaranteed income, not to mention half the world in some form of isolation/lockdown. You have, maybe not guaranteed, but many different sources to assist keeping you going during this time without the need to do this. This is just bad taste, smacks of your privilege and lack of general care for others.

I have been watching Kara & Nate videos since the beginning and what attracted me to was just how unscripted and real they were. I have noticed that change over time. I believe the primary motivation these days is how to garner more viewers/money. Unfortunately that also means doing things at all costs to achieve this goal...including traveling during a pandemic w/out regard for the more vulnerable population that will be affected by these actions. I have stuck around though content that has become mediocre and more of the same, the perfect drone shots and scripted text in hopes things would go back to the way they were, but this latest video was the last straw for me. Sorry guys...and this doesn't mean I wish any ill will upon you. I wish you all the success in the world, but I will no longer be a fan.
